This site's primary focus will be daily video shots "Off the deck" of my townhouse located in the Rockrimmon neighborhood of NW Colorado Springs, mostly featuring clouds and sunsets. I welcome other users to comment on the photographs and, perhaps, look at other submissions. I have set up a video feed taking time-lapse video with shots taken every 5 seconds and replayed at 30 FPS. The video faces south, with the front range (and Pikes Peak) to the right and Cheyenne Mountain just out of site to the left. Replays highlight the wonderul dynamics of the cloud activity here in Colorado Springs, including facinating lenticular cloud formations that seem to curl and hover, similar to an eddie in a river, but dictated by the slope of the mountains and the temperature/pressure gradients. FYI, the vantage point of "the deck" would be in the lower-right corner of the logo shot (above) of Pikes Peak, just a bit further to the right, behind the ridgeline.
